Utilioo is a voice-first invoice generator built for speed, simplicity, and privacy. This page explains what data is involved when you use Utilioo, how it is handled, and what control you have over it.

Our design philosophy is local-first: wherever possible, your data stays on your device and under your control.

What We Process

Invoice Description Text

When you create an invoice, you describe the job using text or voice. This description may include:

Client names or business names you provide
Services, materials, quantities, and prices
Optional notes or instructions

Voice input: If you use voice, your browser converts speech into text using built-in browser speech recognition. Utilioo does not receive raw audio recordings.

How Your Data Flows

Utilioo processes data in the following way:

You enter or speak a description of the invoice.
Your browser converts voice to text (if voice is used).
The resulting text is sent to our invoice parsing service to extract structured invoice fields.
An invoice preview is generated and shown to you for review and editing.
PDF invoices are generated locally in your browser.

We do not intentionally store invoice text or invoice PDFs in a database.

Local Storage & Your Device

Utilioo uses your browser’s localStorage to improve usability. This may include:

Draft invoice text
Saved customer details (name, email, address)
Your preferences (such as currency)

This data remains on your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser storage.

Third-Party Services

Utilioo relies on a small number of third-party services to operate:

Invoice parsing provider (AI service) – Processes invoice description text to extract structured invoice fields.
Vercel – Hosting and delivery of the Utilioo website.
Analytics (optional) – If enabled, anonymized usage analytics may be used to understand feature usage. We do not use analytics for advertising or profiling.

Data Retention

Invoice text is processed in real time and not intentionally stored in a database.
Generated PDFs are created locally in your browser.
Local storage data remains until you delete it.

Your Control & Rights

You remain in control of your data. You can:

Clear drafts and saved customers from your browser
Choose not to use voice input
Block analytics using browser settings or extensions

Security

Utilioo uses HTTPS encryption in transit and avoids persistent storage of invoice content. While no system is perfectly secure, we design the product to minimize the data we handle in the first place.
